The space
Welcome to The Ginger — a modern-boho glamper perched high in the scenic hills of West Virginia Designed with intention, comfort, and a whole lot of heart, this cozy retreat is your go-to spot for stargazing, sunset soaking, and unforgettable mountain memories.
Inside, you’ll find a dreamy king-size bed, comfy bunks, and a futon that even the kids gave . Freshly laundered linens and towels await you — and yes, there’s a washer and dryer for longer stays or post-adventure cleanups.
I love to travel, and I’ve stocked The Ginger with everything I wish every Airbnb had: coffee (no early grocery runs!), filters, powdered creamer, sugar, spices, salt & pepper, napkins, paper towels, and plenty of toilet paper — because no one wants to run out in the woods!
The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need for stovetop cooking, or take it outside to the Weber grill, fully fueled with an extra propane tank on standby. We’ve thought of everything so you can just relax.
Outside, unwind in the brand-new hot tub under the stars, cozy up by the fire pit, or sleep under the sky on the camping cots provided — the massive deck is perfect for stargazing. Pro tip: don’t miss sunset here… it’s absolutely breathtaking
Firewood is usually ready and waiting, but feel free to pick up extra nearby just in case.
Whether you’re here to unplug, explore, or simply recharge with the ones you love, The Ginger is set up so all you need to do is show up, settle in, and make some memories.
Guest access
The Ginger has a gate at the bottom of the driveway. A combination will be provided upon booking to the gate. There is ample parking and a nice turn around circle as well. During inclement weather such as snow and ice, 4×4 is required to gain access, or be prepared to walk about 400 yards uphill to the Ginger. Not responsible for acts of God, or inclement weather, and reservations will not be refunded for inclement weather issues. Plan accordingly.
Other things to note
Please note that the oven does not work. The stovetop does, but not the oven. We do have a grill.
