Accessibility

Allstar Lodging wants everyone to be able to find a place to stay and plan a trip in the Shenandoah Valley on this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we review the site as we add pages and properties.

What we have done

  • Tested key pages with automated tools and by hand using only a keyboard.
  • Made the site menus, contact form, and owner listing signup work without a mouse.
  • Checked color contrast on text and buttons.
  • Added text descriptions to images and to booking links so screen readers announce where a link goes.

Known limitations

Property pages link to booking sites run by others, such as Airbnb and hosts’ own direct booking sites. We do not control the accessibility of those sites. Payments for owner listings are processed by Stripe.
