Some of the best parts of Luray Oasis never require leaving the driveway. Start the morning with espresso on the covered porch, surrounded by trees and birdsong. Fire up the Weber for lunch, string out the afternoon over ping pong, air hockey and a few rounds of Pac-Man, then take the games outside for cornhole on the gravel patio.
When the evening cools off, light the fire pit and let the string lights come on, then slip into the hot tub before heading inside for a movie on the 75-inch screen. The Park and the Caverns
Shenandoah National Park is about 20 minutes away, putting Skyline Drive, overlooks and dozens of trailheads within easy reach for a day of hiking or an unhurried scenic drive. Luray Caverns — the largest caverns in the eastern United States — sits about 13 minutes from the cabin, and Massanutten Ski Resort is roughly 37 minutes out when the season turns.
