Where is Luray Virginia?
Luray, Virginia is a small quiet country town. Luray is conveniently located approximately 90 miles from Washington DC or 120 Miles from Richmond. We are nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Appalachian Mountain Range. Luray is a proud community which welcomes its guests and shares its heritage. Virginia is a vast and beautiful state, and here you can enjoy a little piece of its natural setting in a private rental cabin or cottage. Page County is also the cabin capital of Virginia.
What can Luray Virginia offer to my vacation?
Luray Virginia has many things to offer it’s Visitors. The list of Local Attractions are plentiful, including: Canoeing, Fishing (Trout, Bass, Perch, Catfish), Swimming, Tubing, Hiking, Mountain Biking, close to Mountain Skiing (Winter Only), Site Seeing, Antique Shops, Golf, Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, Solitude and Peace of mind.
How soon should I make my reservation?
When making a cabin or cottage reservation it is always best to make that reservation in advance. The sooner you can make your reservation, the better your chances are of getting the property you most desire. Due to the attractiveness of our many cabin and cottage rentals, and our wide advertising; most customers make their reservations well in advance for the holidays and weekends. Allstar Lodging holds no legal liability to the availability of any of our rental cabins, cottages, or vacation homes and can not hold properties. Some cabins and private cottages may not be available for the dates you have planned. We make every attempt to keep calendars up to the minute, but your cabin may be getting reserved online while you read this.
Is there a theme park nearby?
The closest theme park is Kings Dominion, which is about 2 hours away. There is also a large Indoor Water Park at Massanutten Resort.
How close is Luray to Ski resorts?
Luray is less than 1 hour from either Massanutten or Bryce Four Season resorts. Some of our properties are as close as 5 – 10 miles from the ski slopes.
What is the Happy Guest portal, and how does it work?
Happy Guest is the secure, easy-to-use online guest portal we use to help make your stay as smooth as possible. There’s no app to download and no account to create. You’ll simply receive a secure link after booking.
Through the portal, you can complete any required pre-arrival steps, including your rental agreement, ID verification, and damage protection selection. You’ll also have convenient access to important information about your vacation rental, arrival details, helpful house information, and some of our favorite local recommendations in the Shenandoah Valley.

Can I check in early or add extras to my stay?
Early check-in may be available depending on our cleaning schedule and the timing of the previous guest’s departure. We will not know in advance whether you can check in early, but you will be notified through the Happy Guest portal as soon as the property is ready. When available, early check-in can be added for a fee.
You may also choose to add a few optional extras to make your cabin getaway even more enjoyable, such as firewood bundles or s’mores kits ready and waiting for you at the property.
Availability may vary by property and stay dates. If you’re interested in early check-in or adding something special to your stay, just reach out to us and we’ll be happy to let you know what’s available.
