Page County and the surrounding valley have a genuine wine scene including small family operations, working farms, and tasting rooms with a view of the Blue Ridge. Luray sits on both the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail and the Blue Ridge Whisky Wine Loop, so it is easy to string two or three together in an afternoon.
Wisteria Farm & Vineyard
1126 Marksville Road, Stanley
The closest to most of our rentals, on the western slope of the Blue Ridge between Luray and Stanley. All the wine is made from estate-grown grapes on a working farm complete with a flock of Romney sheep. The tasting room is an addition to the original Victorian house, and there is a Music Under the Arbor series from June through October. Open Thursday to Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

A barn venue and vineyard just outside town, with valley views and a relaxed tasting space.

Muse Vineyards

A larger and more serious operation across the valley, well regarded for its reds.

A family-run vineyard on the western side of the valley with a friendly tasting room.
DuCard Vineyards
12 Gibson Hollow Ln, Etlan
On the eastern slope near Old Rag, with a deck looking back at the mountains — a good pairing with a drive over Skyline Drive.
Worth Knowing
Most of these are small operations with limited opening days, and several close early in the week. Check current hours before you set out, and book ahead if there are more than six of you.
