Perched on 1 acre on the East side of Roundhead Mountain, its namesake, Roundhead Mountain Lodge, is a beautiful, newly-renovated chalet offering spectacular, panoramic views of the Shenandoah National Park across the Ida, Pine Grove and Tanners Ridge. With pine paneling throughout, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 of which are master suites with 15-foot vaulted ceilings, along with a large wraparound deck, and upstairs balcony, you will be in the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The Master Spa hot tub is conveniently located on the deck where you may contemplate the idyllic surroundings and benefit from its exclusive therapy features: Stress Relief Neck Seat, Bio-Magnetic therapy system, among others. And, of course, you will be a stone’s throw from the many activities that the Shenandoah valley and its national parks have to offer.
A Video Surveillance camera monitors the exterior parking/driveway of our home. A photo of what is monitored can be seen in the photos. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy/pets and other policies noted in our lease agreement.

I booked this beautiful lodge for a weekend away with my family. This view and warmth of Roundhead Mountain Lodge did not disappoint. My husband, two adult children and our dog enjoyed some beautiful hikes, a campfire with smores, steak and chicken on the grill, a dip in the hot tub and a whole lot of laughs. Roundhead Mountain Lodge is a beautiful place to see the fall leaves change color. The spacious property offered plenty of room for us to play fetch with our dog while grilling dinner on the grill and making smore on the fire pit for dessert. We hiked a few pet friendly trails about 15 mins from the house. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The hot tub was a treat after a quick shower from hiking to unwind. The porch swings where awesome to enjoy the view with our morning coffee. This place is a hidden gem!

Hello
Thank you for allowing us to use the cabin for the weekend! We had a wonderful time exploring the area, we enjoyed going into town and hiking the paths around. The cabin was the perfect place to relax after long days out and about. It is really homey and cozy, and relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back with Faye in the future.

I enjoyed a wonderful, cozy, relaxing weekend with my son and husband. The perfect family getaway. This cabin has everything! DVEs and puzzles for the whole family, clean bedding and towels, a fully stocked kitchen and the jacuzzi! I have never stayed somewhere with such a caliber of comfort before.
The scenery, perfect weather, and town of Stanley accentuated the loveliness of this home. We beat the rush and visited Luray Caverns at 9am, right when the museums opened. The tickets included access to a toy museum, an old vehicle museum, and a heritage museum. Great family fun all around.
This cabin also has a bear motif, we had fun counting as many bears on various items throughout the house as we could. And listening for the daily train sounds.

The stay was absolutely beautiful for the long wedding weekend. Our son was married at Stover Hall about a 15 minute drive from the cabin. It was in a perfect location, and we felt like we were at home. We had six people staying in the house (all family) and there was plenty of room.
Thank you for going out of your way to have the maid service bring us extra towels. We loved the mountain views, especially during this time of year. It made our weekend that much more special.
We hope to come back and visit soon. It was a very busy weekend and would love to enjoy more of the local attractions. We got to see Luray Caverns which was quite impressive.

Highly recommend going here for your next trip away! The home was just as expected like the pictures and the view from the deck is unlike anything else. Would definitely recommend driving in an AWD car if possible, the road leading to the house was pretty bumpy and steep. We will be back for future trips!

Had a fabulous time at the house. Just there for a couple of days, but the views are fantastic. The house itself is set up great for a family or two couples that want to get away. Definitely need an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Do not bring a low riding car. You will love this place. Book it.

The Roundhead mountain lodge was gorgeous. We absolutely loved how newly renovated the cabin was and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was so peaceful to sit at the porch and looking over the mountains. Everything was close by to do activities such as ziplining, the luray caverns and we also went to a sunflower festival there too. My family and I will definitely come back. Thank you for hosting my husband and son and his family for a week in July. The house is new, beautifully situated in a an with lovely mountain views,. We loved having coffee on the deck and roasting smores over the fire pit. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, knives, serving dishes and plenty of towels in the baths. The week stay was very relaxing and comfortable. Thank you.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main roads are paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. AWD or 4WD vehicles are required. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
