Description

Located North of Luray off Route 340 in Bentonville, VA 22610. Only 10 miles South of Front Royal and 15 miles North of Luray.

Tree Top Lodge sits on 3.5 private acres, nestled among a vast, majestic, oak forest surrounded by the George Washington National Forest. This unique, round-octagon house has many deluxe accommodations. The most prominent is its 2,000 square feet of living space with 15-foot vaulted ceilings and expansive wall-to-wall glass windows, which offer a panoramic "bird’s eye" view of the forest and mother nature from every room. It is built on the side of the Massanutten Mountains to give you a literal “tree top” view of the surrounding woodlands.

The Main Level has an open floor plan with a deluxe Kitchen, Dining Area, and Great Room with a woodstove, flat-screen TV, 100s of DVDs, games, and books--perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Also on the main floor are the 2 main Master Bedrooms, each with full bathrooms. Other features include a huge wrap-around deck that sits 20 feet above the ground at tree top level, as well as a 500-square foot covered patio. There is also a huge open basement with an additional full bath, freestanding woodstove on a slate-stone hearth, extra beds, flat-screen TV, and DVD-Wii entertainment system--perfect for kids or additional guests.

Tree Top Lodge sits in a private community with private, secluded communal river-front access on the famous Shenandoah River. It is just a short 5-minute walk to a private pavilion with picnic tables right on the river. You can literally hike out your front door: up to the top of Veach Gap Mountain Trail or down to the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. It is conveniently located within 2 miles of Down River Canoe Outfitters for Canoe, Kayaking and Tubing Trips down the Shenandoah River. The Andy Guest State Park--great for hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, or its new high-speed Treetop Canopy Zip Line Tour Course--is only 5 miles away. Also, Glen Manor Vineyard is about 4 miles away on the Browntown Road, and you can embark on numerous Hiking Trips in Shenandoah National Park. Detailed directions and itineraries to all are provided at the house. The George Washington National Forest Storybook Trail is 28 miles away, Luray Caverns is 18 miles away, the Front Royal entrance to the Shenandoah National Park is 10 miles away, and Massanutten Resort is 44 miles away.

So for a unique outdoor adventure in a unique, one-of-a-kind house, come stay at Tree Top Lodge, the perfect outdoor getaway for peace and tranquility in the outdoors--without giving up basic luxury or amenities.

Hello Allstar, We enjoyed our mini vacation tremendously! The house was just as described and very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the deck and firepit and the nice dvd collection too! Would recommend with no hesitation. Lurray Caverns were completely amazing - much more magical than I imagined. Thanks, Julia Stoumbos

The location, although remote, was peaceful... a great place to getaway from the hustle of the city. We were not able to get cell phone reception (Verizon), but for us that was not a problem. The host provided good directions to the house and how to access it.

The amenities were extremely delightful and I love the fact that the home was in a prime location near all of our planned activities. What a great experience. Everything was there to ensure that we had a pleasant time. The host recommended going to the Downriver Canoe Company and we had a wonderful time on the river. The property was quiet resulting in a relaxing weekend away from the DC hustle and bustle. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay, and we appreciate everything you all did to make it happen. It was quiet, peaceful and a very pleasant place to stay. There is no room for improvement that we could share at this time. The call on the day of our reservation to make sure that we had everything we needed was much appreciated.

We (my husband, 14 yr. old granddaughter and 12 yr. old son) absolutely loved the Tree Top Lodge!! This was our first experience staying in a cabin. I was amazed at how stocked it was for all our needs. We grilled out both evenings, played games, watched movies and just enjoyed each other. We saw a wild turkey and got so excited. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. We loved the hexagon shape of the cabin. This visit will not be our last to either Tree Top Lodge or one of your other cabins. Carlos was terrific, even when I deleted my confirmation and he resent it. THANKS!!!

The Tree Top Lodge was great - clean, spacious, and beautiful. Definitely a plus that linens are provided and that there is a cleaning service - thank you, both of those made our stay much simpler. We appreciated the wifi service, too. We enjoyed the Shenandoah area and felt that we were in a good location for enjoying different areas of the National Park while still close to Front Royal and Luray for groceries, church, and restaurants. In addition to hiking in the National Park, we also were fortunate to be so close to Shenandoah River State Park, which offered a fantastic afternoon of tubing on the river.
