Our group consisted of six adults, who have all enjoyed camping and canoeing the Shenandoah in the past. As we have gotten older, sleeping in a tent is not as enjoyable as it once was. We still wanted a rustic outdoors experience though. The River Escape Cabin was perfect. Secluded, near the river, fire pit/ fireplace, a tire swing, hot tub, but with all the comforts of home like a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, linens, towels, two showers, and even some books and games. The rough hewn timber framing, sectional couch and floor to ceiling windows in the sitting room gives a very comfortable way to enjoy the views of nature. Everyone had a wonderful weekend and we would absolutely stay at the cabin again. Jackson

Wonderful and secluded. My family loved it there! We didnt get a chance to use the hot tub but it was great to have the option.

The river escape was phenomenal. We had a wonderful time! Everything we needed was basically there. It was clean and kept up well. We called Allstar for some hot tub maintenance, they sent someone out right away and he took care of the tall grass for the homeowner. He couldnt have been more helpful, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Ive never had a problem with allstar, keep up the great work, customer service, and ease of dealing with. We will definitely be back to the Shenandoah valley! Its our favorite vacation spot. The only update I would recommend for the river escape, is curtains in the living room. Its nice to let the sun in during the day, but night time is a little creepy lol. Other than that, wonderful place to stay in. Thank you again for everything!

Our stay was wonderful! Neat place, lovely design, great accommodations in a peaceful setting. The only improvement issue is really just about the fireplace: BE SURE to open a window in kitchen or the one next to fireplace. If not, house will fill up with smoke due to draft issues.

The River Escape was everything we hoped it would be: cabin-cozy but not too rustic. We loved the outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs, the bench swing, the tire swing, the grill, the hot tub, and the indoor fireplace and cozy sofa. The kitchen and farmhouse table was great for socializing and the overall layout of the house is excellent for small groups. We were able to do a lot of cooking and found the kitchen very accommodating and nicely updated. Tap water also good for drinking. The location is beautiful and is a nice balance of feeling secluded and not seeing any neighboring houses, but also having the security of neighbors not far away. And with a Walmart 20 minutes away, you can find just about anything you need. Communication was great with the rental agency and we felt very much at home throughout our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Escape. It was exactly what we wanted, but more than we had hoped for! It was the perfect mix of camping and the comforts of home. We had our two young children with us and the cabin had plenty of space for all our baby gear! We plan to make this an annual trip! We had an issue with the hot tub, sent an email and the next day it was fixed. We were pleasantly surprised with the quick response time. Kudos! Suggestions: We had no idea what to expect as far as what was provided. We didnt realize it would all be there for us! We packed towels, sheets, blankets, hand soap, and even a coffee maker! Perhaps you could list some of the things provided and let guests know linens are provided. It was a lovely vacation and we cant wait to go back!

We had a great stay at river escape, it it warm and cosy and very private. There was room enough for the 6 of us. Our 4 children, over the swing and of course the hot top. The kitchen was very well equipped. Kind regards! Mireille

We had a great time and look forward to coming back this summer. Would like to rent the same cabin. We did have out challenges with the stove top, oven and microwave. Might be helpful to have some basic instructions for those. Really awesome place!

Hello, everything at the cabin was perfect! It was absolutely beautiful and matched the online description perfectly. The only downside was all the stray dogs that came to visit us while we were there but it was no big deal since I love dogs. Besides that it was a perfect cabin with all needs provided for. Beautiful kitchen and living room. Also the rose and candle addition was so romantic and looked great! Thank you!

Our family and some good friends of ours rented River Escape together last weekend - Nov 1-3. There were four adults and three children, ages 6, 4, and 4. we had a terrific time and would definitely like to return! The cabin was perfect for us. It was so convenient having the sheets and towels provided. The TV was nice for a quiet time activity for the kids. The kitchen was great (although the white stovetop got dirty very easily) and we used it to cook breakfast both mornings. The bathrooms were nice ( and our friends who stayed in the master really enjoyed the futuristic shower). The beds were comfortable and the heating system was great. Our favorite part of the cabin was outside. we enjoyed the hot tub both nights. We had a campfire on Saturday and are smores. And the tire swing provided hours of entertainment for everyone! It was beautiful to just sit in the adrionick chairs and watch the kids swing and look at the trees and mountains!

We loved the cabin! It made for the perfect weekend getaway. The cabin was impeccably decorated and had more than enough room for our guests. We really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, too, as we were able to do all the cooking we needed. Looking forward to staying again! Lauren,

River escape was a perfect setting for a relaxing New Years retreat with friends. We rented the cabin for four days and enjoyed the comfortable couch, beds, scenic views, and hot tub. We definitely plan to reserve this space again. The cabin was very clean when we checked in and we experienced no issues with any of the accommodations. Rahsaan
