We invite you to escape to this private mountainside retreat located just 6 miles from charming downtown Luray! Enjoy beautiful mountain and woodland views in the comfort of this freshly-furnished space. This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, single level house is equipped to provide all the comforts of home. Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, and George Washington National Forest are just a short drive away. Whether looking to simply relax or find a home base for enjoying all that the Shenandoah Valley has to offer, this home provides a comfortable, functional refuge.

The Space
The house is tucked away just off the main road through the community. Woodland surrounds the large sloping yard and provides privacy and peace.
As you arrive you’ll notice the large front porch furnished with comfortable lounge chairs and a swing–the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or spend the afternoon immersed in a good book.
Inside, you’ll find large rooms and open spaces so everyone can exist together in the same space without feeling on top of one another. Whether you’re looking to relax or enjoy the company of others, this house provides accommodating spaces.
Nearby Luray offers several dining options and grocery stores, but sometimes you can’t beat a home-cooked meal. That's why our kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials you'll need to prepare a delicious family dinner. Enjoy your meals at the full-size dining table or venture out onto the deck for mountain top views and nature peeping. 
The primary bedroom is located off the living room. It has a king-sized bed, large closet, and ensuite bathroom complete with a double vanity and double shower.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located on the opposite side of the house. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a queen bed. A large window lets in morning light from the east. Bedroom 3 is furnished with two twin beds and is perfect for kids. Its closet has been converted to a “retro gaming den” complete with over 1,000 retro video games and an oversized bean bag chair.
Traveling with a little one? We have a pack and play and high chair on site.
A second full bathroom with shower and tub is located in the hallway just outside of Bedrooms 2 and 3.
A large sitting room overlooks the front porch and provides another gathering space for chatting and playing board games or simply taking in the view.
For larger parties, we also provide a queen-sized air mattress. There is plenty of space in the sitting room to set up this mattress, if needed.
When night falls, spend some time around the backyard firepit making s’mores and memories. Buy firewood in town or, if you’re the DIY type, explore around the outskirts of the property gathering your own kindling and firewood.

Notes

This is a NO shoes house. All shoes must be taken off at the entry closet.


Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
