Beautiful, very peaceful, secluded space. Perfect for families or groups of friends. We took a weekend retreat and loved using the hot tub and all the outdoor space, and the indoor area is cozy and comfortable. Everything was in excellent condition, very clear instructions. We hope to go back and use this for a similar weekend away. -Mollie

This was really the perfect get away! It was exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious, gorgeous views and a well stocked kitchen. Allstar was responsive and helpful. Definitely looking forward to the next time we can stay!

This place was worth every penny!! Relaxing, beautiful, cozy, and fun! The view was breathtaking at night and during the day! It was the best way to spend Christmas! We will be back in the fall!

Amazing! Secluded, private, quiet and relaxing where what we were looking for and thats exactly what we found. The kitchen is well equipped to make anything youd like and since its not easy to get on and off the mountain, we just stayed put and ate great meals. The hot tub was a highlight of the trip; the views from the spa are amazing and so peaceful. We had plenty of cell signal so even though there is no wifi, we were able to use our phones as hotspots and watch netflix, etc. (thankful we got the unlimited data plan recently! :) Really, it was all we hoped for and more. Very clean. Cant wait to return sometime soon!

Our stay was nothing but wonderful! The cabin was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the view was amazing!! It was awesome to sit in the hot tub at night and look out over Luray. We could even see Skyland on Skyline Drive. There is nothing negative at all I can say about our stay...the satellite tv was out the entire time, but the DVD library saved it for the boys. Anyone who has "Band of Brothers" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales" of DVD is alright in my book! We saw deer and one snake but no bears. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back again...maybe in the fall or winter.

We had a great time and loved the house. Id love to come back to that house again. We were especially impressed with the town of Luray as well. You may want to mention that it is on a gravel road with some steep hills. My Subaru had no problem, but we did keep some of the other cars at the bottom of the hill. This was after they did the steep road once. The house was nice and clean. A big plus!!! Thanks!

We (8 of us) had a wonderful time at Shenandoah Solitude over the long July 4th weekend. We enjoyed the view and the isolation, but liked that it was still just 20+ minutes to town. The kids loved the downstairs with all the games and enjoyed having their own "cave." The cabin left nothing to be desired and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back! Our only suggestion would be to install ceiling fan(s), especially in the main-level living area.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at A_Shenandoah_Solitude_at_Roads_End very much! The home and lot was beautiful. It was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the forest and parts of Shenandoah Valley, even with having rain a portion of our stay. It felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves!

The house comes fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy a great time indoors or out. The view from the hot tub was divine! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy all the Shenandoah has to offer!

We absolutely loved the house. What a fantastic retreat from the city! In addition, everything we needed was there, to include a lighter for the fire, which i had completely forgotten. Since you went the extra mile by having a lighter, my suggestion would be a long lighter...the grill needed a hand and I had to light a piece of kindling to light it. Not a problem...just a suggestion. We sincerely could not have asked for more. Thanks for having us! Kim and Sarah

My husband and I had a lovely time at the beautiful cabin. We had a difficult time getting there and leaving, however, so I think next time we will really pay attention to that "4 wheel drive" recommendation. It was a very cold weekend, and the pipes to the jacuzzi tub were frozen when we arrived. A call to All Start later, a really nice plumber came out to defrost the pipes for us so that we could use it that day (froze the following morning again). We appreciated the service very much, as the jacuzzi was one of the reasons we picked the cabin. We were very comfortable there and wish it was more accessible so that we could visit more often. Thanks, Carolyn

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! A Shenandoah Solitude at Roads End is a beautiful, cozy place. We spent our first Christmas as a family of three there, even decorating a tree and hanging stockings! The backdrop just added to the holiday spirit. This was an easy process from beginning to end. We had no problems and were thrilled with the service too. The only suggestion would be to include information about trash and check-out in general. We were unclear of the amount of cleaning we needed to do. Thank you again for an amazing stay. Please let the owner know how much we enjoyed it and that he remodeled beautifully! We hope to come back again to enjoy this peaceful place. Abby

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
No tree cutting on the property including adjacent George Washington National Forest!

Please obey posted speed limit of 25 mph, and, respect the neighbors as they are our friends
