This property is located North/West of Luray off of South Page Valley Rd. You can expect a 10 mile drive to the town of Luray.

Set sixty feet high on a hill overlooking a beautiful meadow on the Shenandoah River on nearly 15 acres, the Captain's Rapids Lodge offers perfect serenity and privacy for two to twenty people. This rustic lodge has hosted honeymoons as well as weddings. A two-minute or so walk down to the riverfront, where canoes and tubes will be provided in season, you can picnic on the river's edge, fish just above the rapids, and enjoy the constant roar of the series of rapids.

Bedrooms are locked out within this property depending on number of guests booking and are based on 2 guest per room. Receive up to 5 free children per reservation. Additional children are $15.00 per extra child/per night. Washer & Dryer are only for guest renting bedrooms that are located downstairs (excludes if only the bunk room is rented). Must have at least 15 adults to open all bedrooms without incurring additional fees. If you have less than 15 paying adults and need all bedrooms unlocked there is an additional $300.00 fee.

All major holidays require a minimum of 6 adults in order to reserve this property.

The owner will supply 2 sets of free linens - 1 set of Queen sheets and 1 king set, pillowcases and 4 bathing towels. Additional linens can be rented at $20.00 per bed.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However there are many side roads that are gravel or hard packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4 wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
