We recently stayed at the Shuck and it could not have been any better. It is a beautiful home with an absolutely stunning view of the mountains & river. Sitting out on the deck in the morning watching the deer and wildlife while drinking a cup of coffee was wonderful. You will find that there is everything there that you need. I would recommend this to anyone and look forward to renting this home again for a getaway. Absolutely 5+ stars. Terry

The Shuck was a beautiful place for us to stay during our time in Luray! The house was gorgeous, clean and the kitchen was so well stocked for cooking we didnt even need to pack half of what we did. The staff at Allstar Lodging was extremely helpful from the moment I booked to the moment we arrived. We enjoyed seeing all of the wild life from the deer to the spunky gopher, and particularly enjoyed exploring the priory around the cabin. I would absolutely recommend this place for the price to anyone looking for the perfect Luray getaway! Catherine

Our family had an absolute wonderful time at The Schuck. It was everything it said it would be. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The outside fire pit and yard was nice and private from other people. Our kids loved being able walk or ride their bikes to the river. We enjoyed many bike rides and seeing lots of deer. The only negative that I would give is that the road to get to the cabin was pretty awful. Tons of pot holes and big rocks. We spent a day on Sky Line drive taking hikes and enjoying the look outs. Allstar lodging was great. Very easy to work with. Thanks again! Valerie

Notes

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
