Stayed: 2008-08-03 through 2008-08-07 Comments: We had a great time with our family and all of the amazing outdoor activities located in the area. The house was nicely furnished and the air conditioners worked very well. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, dishes... The stove was newer and worked well and the fridge was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer are super convenient. The location was one of the greatest things about the property. You really are in the middle of nowhere with a rather long drive on a gravel road which makes you feel very secluded and offers lots of quiet. If you want to spend some quality time with family and friends, enjoying the crystal clear river and the woods this is the place to go.
Stayed: 2008-07-03 through 2008-07-06 Comments: I had a wonderful time. It is a beautiful property. The surrounding area is also very nice. One thing, the sign is very hard to find. I would recommend it to anyone.
Stayed: 2008-06-14 through 2008-06-19 Comments: We had a great time. We loved the screened in porch and the atmosphere. The house was a lot farther away from town, than I had thought, but it was still a great experience.

Stayed: 2008-04-11 through 2008-04-13 Comments: The house was lovely, though further away from the town than we thought it would be. The gravel roads also killed our tires, and I felt that we were not adequately warned about that (and the fact that the entire last SEVEN miles of the trip is non-paved roads). The "hiking trails" were also non-existent. When that was in the description, I thought we would have some real trails off the house. Again, though, the house was very pretty. I just wish that the rest of it had been described more accurately. Response From AllStar Lodging: Thank you for staying with Allstar Lodging, a quick phone call during your stay to us could have answered the question about hiking trails. We try to inform guests of property locations. Listing does state it's 15 miles from the town of Luray, 7 miles are gravel roads and 4X4 may be required in inclement weather. The hiking trail weaves around the vineyard back into the George Washington National Park, about 1 mile each way. We apologize for any miscommunication, please call us when making your next reservation as we are very familiar with each of these properties and can give you all the information you need to make a more informed decision. We appreciate your business and look forward to your return visit. |
